I thought about this top almost 1 month ago and finished test knitting used terracota colored yarn. I made 38" bust size and it wan't fit on me. Under the summer sun,the color doesn't give fresh image, too.
But, neckline looks pretty. 

I tired again used Thaki Nova - it's cotton and arclylic beand yarn is light. Tiny shiny metalic is lovely.
I make it for myslef 36" with no ease and it's fit on me perfectly. Pattern is almost done.
I will add few pictures for tutorial and it's on the test knitting another sizes.

It's so muggy in Kingston these days. It was so comfortable item with my favorite skirt yeasterday.
I'm not sure what's will be the title of this design. But, sizes are from 28" to 50"- total 12 sizes.
it takes long time to make pattern with many siezes with two languages.

Picnic Cardigan [Interweave Knits Summer 2010]

Last Summer, I had to spend 3 month with Parents in Law's home because my husband went to the Academy for the garverment job. We met every friday and spent 2 days together at the Mamora farm and he went to kingston and I came back to Belleville.
I came to Canada May 2008 and lived in small city belleville without frinds. Lonlyness made me hold yarns and needles on my hands. Sometimes, my father in law bought very old pattern book for me -early 1900-  at the oction or yard sale. I found interesting eyelet patterns.
I have pink and light blue color pencle. I draw clssical sweater and knitted sample used fingering weight yarn. I send them to the interweave Knits last summer 1 week before the dead line.

Two months later, I've got phone call from father in law when I was in Mamora. He said someone send me a box and it seems like yarn. I didn't order any yarn and I thought that something's wrong.
I went to Belleville and found yarn in the box with my name. Also, I found mail from Eunny that night.

My heart was beating like a kid in the Christmas morning. I worked at fashion filed over 10 years.
Design, making samples, fashion show, models.... those are very friendly words for me.
But, start new career with different language and different culture 15 hours far from home, it isn't easy.

My husband and I, we moved to Kingston after his graduate. Both of us, we are starting our new life here.
I suggested finering weight yarn. But, I 've got gift worsted weight yarn. Knit and take off and knit again.
I finished knitting and write up pattern. Sent them to Loveland.

Last wednesday, I had a Knitters' meeting in Tom's Place. One of my friend Alana shows me a megazine.
I saw my design and made me happy. People said to me that it's too classic. I followed the one of theme of magazine for summer season. I like the result. I'm so happy that it looks good with lovely model.
It's a little tiny baby sep for me. I sent another propocal to the megazine. I'm waiting answer.

It's cold winter season. I needed something for my ears and head.
I wanted to make smooth dec on the crown section. Just a little mistake made pretty star motif.
I did it by accidnet. But, I love it.
I hold new yarn and worked rip pattern and thought about what I put between rib and star.
I like eyelet and lace pattern.

Two days later, I met my star, my Stella.
Warm, pretty and comfortable.

My husband took these pics for me this afternnon. I'm working on pattern in English and Korean.

I like knitting socks.
When I was in Korea, I have been knitting socks only three times.

Last winter, I was fall in love with knitting socks again and finished few pair of socks for me and my family.
Wind's getting cold and sock season's come again.

I like decalcomaie. Used few water color without brush draw on the paper and fold.
I can get very unique and lovely mirror image paint.

I just like this pattern it's not easy to memorise. But, it has rythem and easy to knit.
So, I add pattern on my socks and gave a name. Decalcomaie.

I'm on the test knitting used merino sock yarn.
Ready to pattern up soon.

Last April, I've got order to make dolls for little babies.
Thery were a dragon and a bear.
I used cotton yarn and didn't put details for safty because babies are take everything on their mouth.

The Baby dragon and bear, they are gone to Vancounver, BC end of April and met thier new owners.
I've got pretty photos from their grandmother this morning.

They love dolls and bring them everywhere, she told me. I'm so happy with it.

I went to the Knitting Nimroad Collevtive and it's closed. When I come back home, I took this picture.
I like this tiny road. I'm thinking about wirte up most of my designs. I've got requests from knitters on Ravelry often.
But, I was afraid about foregin language. My past experience wasn't good and it gave me a big and deep demage of pride.
 
It spend a year after my first publishing in English. I month later, I will move to Kingston and I'm sure that I can meet many canadian knitters at there. If there are S&B, I will run and join. 

I have to live this contury and have to spand my life here. I want to be an one of them.   

 

I went to the Knitting nimroad collective on tuesday.
I bought Regal of Briggs and little almost 2 weeks ago. I'm knitting Fence new version on the round and it's too much for this vest. I enter the store and ask about exchange yarn to the kind lady and she said sure delightfully.
It's a one of good things about local yarn store.

I'm in love with Canadina yarn these days. In Seoul, it's really hard to find non super washed yarn.
When I was want to knit  fail isle sweater, I had to order in England or North America.
I cound find some in Dongdaemoon Market. But, Price wans't right  to me.

Anyway, I bougt 3 skenis of Regal, exchanged 1 skein ot Regal, and 2 balls of Regia Tweed, sindgle ball of sweedish  yarn.

This is a Regal of Briggs & Little in Canada. I bought color "Copper". It has really nice copper coloer like a penny and it's look like milk chololate brown under the sun. So beautiful. I'll knit Vine york cardigan of Ysolda Taegue.


These Regia tweed sock weight yarn. it's based on cold gery with light blue, orange and brown neap(little tiny yarn peices). It has totally 400m(430 yard?). I finished design stole. Maybe I need more. maybe not.



 I will knit head covering for my mom. She's catholic and always pray for me. Western people don't wear this anymore.
Only few Jew female's wearing head covering when they pray at church. It's not a rule. But, Catholic came to Korea almost 200 or 300 years ago and still people believe that it's an express about humilities front of the God.
I didn't think about it before I saw one of canadian woman, who married with Korean man. She, knitted head covering with very pretty lace pattern for her mother in law. It's good idea. I have to think about easy pattern and it have to need non blocking. I'm sure my mom will be happy with it. 70% wool and 30% silk.

Still have a problem about hosting on my domein. I changed nameserver. I wish I can put the amigurumikr.com on this blog soon. I'm so tired about it. Almost 10 months, I'm having problem with hosting, domein name and name server. I wanted to fix unitl August. But, it's the middle of september already. Huh!

This is a different version of Kimberly shawl. Same pattern. Just I put st sts on main section.
It's the first time I used lace yarn. very light and soft.
I droped down my needle oftern. But, I couldn't stop knitting.
