Decalcomanie

This pattern is named after the art where paint is applied to paper and then folded in half. The result is a mirror image when unfolded. This is similar to a rorschach pattern.

This pattern is suggested to use US size 1(2.25mm) needle because it’s very elasticity. But, if you want to use cotton blend yarn, it’s not bad to use 0.25mm larger needle.

FNISHED MEASUREMENTS

Foot circumference: S~M (M~L), 7.5”/19cm (8”/20.5cm) slightly stretched.

Leg circumference: S~M (M~L), 7.5”/19cm (8”/20.5cm) slightly stretched.

NOTE
I had originally wanted to create an easy shawl pattern for my friends and beginning knitters. I knitted first shawl used Noro Kueyon sock yarn and showed photos to my friend. She suggested that the eyelets were similar to the spade shaped motives of the Yuhan Kimberly company campaign’s logo plant trees in South Korea. I remember. I could see those three trees often at the side of tissue box when I was grow. I named this shawl Kimberly. Luckily, it’s my one of favorite female names.

This pattern has 4 different design variation. - two different size and two different main pattern section. Ajust needle size is 3.75mm in this pattern.

Kimberly is a top down (neck down) shawl from back neck.

Brickwork Socks

The brickwork socks use modern Fair Isle motif and traditional Scandinavian gusset, heel and toe technique. I designed motif and the motif remind me the old PC game titled ‘Brickwork’.

I used Jamieson’s Spindrift 2ply cause I have those yarn too much. It’s so good for Fair Isle and my favorite yarn. But, feel free to use any sock yarn. It’s up to you. ;)

November 15, 2008 errata
Toe: 14 sts rem (each 14 sts on sole and instep.)
It’s fixable. Everybody has a different toe shape.

This is my very early English pattern.
Maybe some of expressions are not smooth.
But, it’s charted and I’m sure that it will help to undestand.

이 도안은 초기 영문 패턴으로 한글화 하지 않았습니다.
초기 그것도 페어아일 테크닉을 영문화 하면서 문구의 어색함은 조금 있습니다만
대부분 챠트가 대신하기 때문에 양말뜨기에 대한 경험이 어느정도 있는 분이라면 이해 하실수 있습니다.
간혹, 드물게 에레타(오류)에 대한 문의가 있곤 하는데 위에 언급한 토우(발끝의) 코수를 미미하게 기재한것을 제외하고는 에레타는 없습니다. 바닥을 뜨며 좌우 대칭의 의문이 생기는것은 이 도안에 제시한 코수가 전통적인 스칸디나비안식 힐과 바닥 기법에 따라 짝수이기 때문입니다.
