I'm using Acrobat program for my pattern. My file size is huge always - over 3 or 5 MB often.
It wss bugging me most of times and I felt shame.
Menual doesn't helped me and  I lost my concentration very oftern.
I spent 2 years like that.

This morning, I've got mail from Dream in Color because I worked with them for next season.
They want to change a little bit of pattern layout. I want to make file size is smaller and tried to click buttons and options. I made files again and again 8 times. Fianlly, I found out. It was accidentally.
This is 400KB now! (It was 3.6MB)
Nobody imagine how much I'm happy and exciting.
This is very easy things to someone. But, it was stress last 2 years to me.

I added new design on Ravelry few days ago. I changed ripple sockie file to light and sent file update notice mail to buyers. I want to change other files step by step.

Yeah. I'm very happy now!

I’m spending 4th summer in Canada and I’m holding yarn on my hands every moments.

Last Friday, we went to the Belleville and celebrated a 70th birthday of my mother in law.

She invited many friends and family. I took pictures for her with them at the back yard.

It was a happy moment. Also, mosquitoes had a party around me.

Canada post is in a strike. I’ve ordered yarn and magazine almost 3 weeks ago. But, I’m still got nothing. I asked sending me special yarn in Seoul to my friend. But, she couldn’t send me also. Last few months, I tried to find a model who has 32 ~33” bust size. I met many nice friends. But they have their busy life or job or living in other city. I can be a model by myself but it’s not easy to take a picture alone used remote control or timer at the daytime. D’Arcy can take it for me. He’s a wonderful husband but not a good photographer.

I don’t have a plan to publish pattern in magazine until autumn. But, I’m working for Dream in Color within next month and will start a book with famous designers and publisher soon. Deadline is end of this year and I think it will come out middle of next year.

I did unknit my old top week ago and made two hanks. It rinsed out by hair shampoo and conditioner. It works well for woolen or cotton blend yarn. I’m ready to wind balls now.

It looks so clean and has pretty azalea pink color.

Finally, I finished write up new fence pattern. It took over 2 years! I changed yarn many times and knit same design 4 times. Now I’m working on 5th fence vest. I always have an uncomfortable feeling about old fence pattern. I wanted to rewrite pattern for a long. I’m working on back with 4.oo mm addi turbo. Wish it will turn out beautifully.

This blog looks empty. But, I’m quite busy.

I saw the pretty picture on my friend's blog. She said she was so happy to go to work last 2 weeks every early morning. I have been walk on the flower carpet when I was in Seoul.

Beautiul pictures from  my Korean blog.  2006 spring maybe....
I enjoied ride bike 48Km(30mile) ,3 or 4 times a week. There are 6 parks near by home. I relly like riverside park and hanul(sky) park.

Seagull in the parking spot
It's rainy day in Kingston from yesterday morning. We went out to drive and finally we met green on the field. First image of Canada is Green field to me. I saw shinning lakes like a mirror and beautiful emerald green on the sky 3 years ago. D’Arcy always grumbled that he hates winter and cold. It's good to be to meet spring again We will be happy day by day.

I’m working on entrelac projects these days. 2 years ago, I made a entrelac vest at the Belleville and add pic on my Ravelry page. Knitters gave me bunch of mails and message about pattern.

I tried to make pattern few times. But, I had to give up sadly.

There are some reasons. Language barrio is a one of them. But, most of big problem is a sizing. Also, I think I didn’t understand well and clearly about this technique.

I made 3 pair of socks, 2 vests and 1 pullover used entrelac technique last 2 months. Finally, I understand the mathematical proportion. I’m having a plan to write up pattern. I finished sock pattern already 2 days ago. Finished make gauge swatch for cardigan and stole also.

Let’s see what’s happen to me. No more give up!

It was my youngest sister's birthday middle of April. We are talking on the phone and chatting on the MSN some times. I made Hexagon Petal Tee for her. But, she wants Charvet. I made this sweater for her again.

When I design this sweater for the Interweave Knits last summer, I spent so hard time to make pattern based on sketch. Finally, I did and readers love this design.
I found bunch of mails about this design and had to answer the questions.

For the Hexagon Petal Tee, many knitters are working on original yarn Cascade Ultra Pima. It’s easy to get in North America. But, I never have been seen the FO of Charvet used same yarn with original on the IK issue.
Most of knitters are using different material based yarn with merino or Acrylic. Result is totally different.
It was a good experience to me learning about yarn. I cannot select yarn for the magazine issue but I can suggest yarn for. I'm learning something every days.

Anyway, I used Noro Silk Garden Sock yarn I bought 2 skeins on November 2010 and a natural color skein last summer at the Wooltyme Kingston. One of knitter who live in Ottwa, she has too much stash and I bought another skein from her on the Ravelry.
3 of multi redish with 1 of natural. I did 3 and 1 ridge strips repeat. It's not a bad idea.

Follow the pattern step by step. It's funny that I follow the pattern I wrote up few months ago.
I made 37" on the pattern. But, I used 4.5mm and 4.0mm needle with thinner yarn and FO has 35.5" bust size. My sister's smaller than me. I'm sure that it will look good for her.

It's rainy saturday in Kingston.
I've got up at 4:30 in this morning. We went to the bed around 10 pm last night. Both of us have a sleeping problems we feel like a day of our has 26 hours. D'Arcy went to work and I enjoied look over the window.

I watched few TV shows and movie and ate some food and play with my cat Tarae.
Suddenly, I felt my lamp shade is so ugly. I 've got very old lamp set from my mother in law last year when we moved to Kingston I like the body of lamp. it's  beautiful cream colored thick glass .

Casted on 30 sts and joined round.
I did increase 6 sts every other round 7 times used 5.0mm needles.
After that I repeated  K2tog K10 and YO.
It took just 2 hours. I like the result.

I love it!

It's rainy day!

Ugly old shade. I made this shade, too. Almost a half years ago.
I used paper towel.

I didn't care about gauge. When I felt that it's big, I took off a bit and knit again.
It was really easy and fun work.

Tarae was in sleep when I was knitting lamp shade.
He was very helpful. ; 0)

I finished this sweater 10 days ago and took pic few times. But, light wasn't good.
I made this tee for my sister at the first time. She's smaller then me and sweater size is 36.6" with +3" ease for her.
After the finished this sweater, I felt strong desire to get it for myself. I tried to wear it. It's tight on me without ease. But not bad on the mirror.

When I was talking on the phone with my sister, I found that she like charvet.
I started knit charvet sweater for her and finished this yesterday night. Tomorrow is my sister's birthday.
It's little bit late. But, I will send charvet to her and I'm sure that she will be happy with this.

This tee is mine. But, it's woolen blend yarn. Fit on my bust is okay but, length is short. So I will fix it.
I will add 2/3 hexagons on the bottom and it will be better for me.

Weather's fantastic today. It's to hard to take pics by myself and I had to give up.

I've got up 5:30 in the morning and spend very busy day.
I met a very beautiful lady at the elevator. I wanted to ask her be my model.
But, I couldn't. We just shared smile each other. I promised to myself that I will be a shameless person. So, I will ask when I meet her again.

Don't need thick coat anymore.
I don't trust this Canadian weather because I remember I met heavy snow end of April my first year in Canada. But wind isn't cold amymore and I can listen brid's singing in the morning.

Day before yesterday, I sent a final document to the Immigration Service. I was busy for it last month. I had to visit Ottwa and hung on the phone with family in Seoul many times. If I had to visist a law office, maybe things are easy. But, D'Arcy and I, we did everything  ourselves. I never have been imagine that I could get a chance to live in Canada.

I was afraid of show my language skill. I published my first formal English pattern on Knotion megazine end of 2008. Editor likes my design but I had to endure listen blame about pattern construction isn't easy it's because of designer is non-native speaker in English. I wanted to tell them that there are many different type of editing style. If my pattern and design have problems, editor didn't select mine. But, I coudn't. It's bugging me when I'm depressed.

I was an aoptimist and smiled often when I was in Seoul. D'Arcy told me that he's sad to see I'm turning to be a gloomy charactor. So,I think that I have to return former myself. It's not too bad to be shameless.

2008? 2009? I made this blanket used 20~40 years old vintage yarn gifted by father in law.

Yeah!
I check the
twist collective page hundred times end of March.
I sent submission few times and failed often. I've got warm mail from Kate last summer.
She likes my design but there's no room for me on the winter issue. She gave me one more chance.
2 months later, I sent submission again and it was accepted by twist collective team.
It's honor. Just I'm so happy that I'm in between many famous designers.

My first project based on English pattern is sunsire circle jacket by Kate Gillbert.
Just 4 years later, I'm woking with her. itsn't it great?

Last friday, D'Arcy and I, we visited Korean Embassy in Ottawa. Progress for citizenship is going well.
I have to ask one kind of documents for it to the Korean Police Agency.I made a document and got a stamp from a consul. Now, I can work and study in Canada. Wish I can get a citizenship soon.

I like Ottawa. It reminds very old city Kyougju in Korea. I have been visit Kyoungju almost 20 years ago.
Yes. it was a school trip. I know students visit Jeju Island or forign contries these days.
Just I like everything about Ottwa. buildings, street, people...

We didn't have enough time to look around sadly and weather was bad with dark cloud.

I had a chance to read Korean newspaper at the Embassy.Date of  last newspaper I read is 22 May, 2008.
It was a first time to talk face to face with Korean in Korean language over 5 min after I leave Korea.

Last night, D'Arcy bought a bingo game sheet. Sometimes, when he visit gas ststaion, he bought a tiny chocolate or bingo game for me. It's 3 dollar game and I'm the winner for 200$.
Life is fun! :)
