2012/02/02 16:07 BLOG
It's time to wake up my mind!
I was confused within two blogs. It isn't easy to work both blogs with two different language.
I shared many things at my korean blog with friends. But, I'm in Canada and working at the fashion and knitting industry .
I will focus this blog more often. Also, I will use both language here. Korean is my mother language and It dosen't take long time to write.

I just start cast on Grey Loop cowl. This is the projects for Feb KAL with naver blogers.  I was busy for publish designs and patterns last year. Most of times, I had to work in English. So, I didn't get enough chance to enjoy "Knitting". Knitting gave a mind heeling to me like an yoga.
I love to do design and it gave me a lots of happyness when knitters show me their FOs based on my design. But, I wish I have much more times to enjoy just "Knit" as a knitter sometimes.

Wool of the Andes - Spot의 Claret Heather로 CO을 해서

I serched this pattern on the Ravelry for watch FOs. I found that some of knitters are confused about double yo.
Actually, there no double yarn over. But, when its work on the eyelets rnd, things are happen like double yo.
It has to repeat rnd 1 and rnd 2  twice and rnd 1 once more. -- Totally 5 rnds.
End of rnd 2 is yo and start of rnd 1 is yo. So, using marker is really imfortant.

Top pic (end of rnd 2): work in patt and yo, sl m
Middle pic ( start of rnd 1): yo once more. it seems like double yarn over.
Bottom pic( working on rnd 3 is same as rnd 1): Remebmer that frist yo is a part of previous rnd and second yo is a part of new rnd.

It's the same when rnd 1 goes to rnd 2. There are two k2togs. First k2tog is a part of previous rnd and second k2tog is a part of new rnd. it fall into two dicisions by marker.

It was a very tough month for me in December. I was sick for flu over 2 weeks but, I couldn't stay in the bad becuase deadlines are waiting for me.  I had to take medicine and syrup for staying awake.

Mom and friends sent me wonderful gifts. But, I didn't have a time to think about christmas sadly. We went to the Christmas shoping on 22. D'Arcy want to buy a nice dress for me. But, we couldn't stay at there longer. I was getting tired and just wanted to go home.

Now stomach flu's bugging me. I didn't eat anything during 24 hours. I know it's very common disease in North America. I never have been heard about it when I was in Korea. People told me drink lots of water and it will gone soon within few days. I'm tired to being sick.  It's really tough month for me.

Good thing is I made socks for D'Arcy already. I made this socks for him last month. Honestly, I want to knit one more pair for christmas. But...

Interweave Knits Winter 2011 previes is up on the Interweaveknits.com just now.

I'm enjoing design and knit most of times. But, I tried to seamless set-in sleeve sweater for this issue and it gave me a stress about language and math.

" I love to visit the libarary and read fashion books, especially ones from the first halr of the 20th century. Feather and fan stitch was a staple of woman's sweaters and stockings through the 1930s, inspiring this fitted little pullover"

When I sketch this design, I imagine an actress on the black and white screen and only lips are shinning rubby red.

It turend to very wearable. I like the result and happy with it.

Finished Size 32 (34¾, 38¼, 41, 44½, 47¼, 50¾)" bust circumference. Sweater shown measures 34¾", modeled with slight ease.
Yarn The Alpaca Yarn Co. Classic Alpaca (100% superfine alpaca; 110 yd [100 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]): #1402 Adirondack green, 9 (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15) skeins.
Needles Body Sizes 6 (4 mm), 4 (3.5 mm), and 3 (3.25 mm): 24" circular (cir). Sleeves and neckband뾱izes 6 (4 mm) and 4 (3.5 mm): set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); stitch holders; removable markers; tapestry needle; one ¾" button.
Gauge 22 sts and 26 rnds = 4" in St st on largest needle; 23 sts and 32 rnds = 4" in patt on largest needle; 27 sts and 39 rnds = 4" in patt on smallest needle.

Halloween's comming.
It isn't special day in Koream culture. I was attracted by halloween night for a long.
I met three halloweens in Canada and all days gone just like another day.

We went to the Fort henry last saturday night.
There's an interesting event on deep fall called
Fort Fright.

Interweave Knits Holiday Gifts 2011
design by Maria Leigh

I designed this shawl for myself in the summer of 2009. I lived in Belleville autumn of 2009 and I moved to Kingston in Nov 2009. I was quite busy for my first publication in Interweave Knits. The shawl was forgotten and stayed under the box with my stash.

Last winter, I've got a submission call from Interweave Knits and the concept reminded my forgotten shawl. I sent photos of my shawl with note of construction. Luckly, IK team liked my design.

I've got lovely yarn from Manos del Uruguay. At the first time, I thought Gerda for the title of shawl. But, there's another Gerda scarf last Holiday Issue. I wonder their naming. My shawl reborn with charming name: Flamboyant. I'm pleased with it.

This is a really simple shawl based on garter stitches. A pattern is easy to follow. I hope many knitters enjoy knitting and wearing this shawl.

Finished Size 56.5" from tip to tip and 11.5" at widest point.
Yarn Manos del Uruguay Rittenhouse Merino 5-ply (100% extrafine merino; 240 yd [220 m]/100 g): #509 maroon, 2 hanks. Yarn distributed by Fairmount Fibers.
Needles Size 7 (4.5mm): 29" circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Tapestry needle.
Gauge 18 sts and 32 rows = 4" in garter st
