Tarae's waiting for his new sweater

It's rainy day in Kingston today. When the rain was stopped for a while at the afternoon, my cat was fall in sleep on the wondow frame. It looked so cute and funny. I took a pic and want more shots. But, he opened his eyes soon.

I'm knitting sweater for cat. My husband asked me about it over 3 months. I just finished deadline. Have plan for write up patterns. But, it's not bad idea. He's realy cute with sweater and he's enjoing wear sweater.

I have a one hank of Misrasol Chircapa. it's look good with alpaka lace weight yarn. I held two different yarn together and it has worsted weight gauge.

I put cables on the center back. It looks like a cetic cable. I like it. Yarn is really soft and pretty. But, I think cable patern and this colourful yarn doesn't fit well. If will be good with solid.

I will knit same sweater used different yarn.

I'm working on the hood now. my cat can wear sweater tomorrow!!!

Tissue Cardigan - one of my UFOs

I say that I love knitting and I'm a knitter often. But, I didn't knit much this summer.
Sometimes, my brain needs break. I'm do learning English internet class. I feel I'm in stagnation.
When I feel that way, I have take a break with do mothing.
I cleaned my yarn box and check how much yan I have. Move them to new containers.
Looked at my books, megazines and design book carefully and then I find out the match with deaign and yarn.

Some of projects I started this week. It's a Tissue Cardigan in Interweave Knits Summer 2010.

I like designer, Deborah Newton. She's publishing her wonderful design oftern in many magazines.
She's famous and many knitters love her design.
I found stange things on the Ravelry. This cardigan is one of her design and Knitters has complaint.
It's enough to touch my want for challenge. I want to check it out what's the problem. :)

This pattern has very interesting construction like a woven pattern.
If it's a pattern for fabric, it will be really nice desgin with graceful cutting.
I think....designer want to express about this kind of stuff.
Yarn is wondersful material. But, there's a some gap within woven and yarn.

Anyway...I will find out.
I will follow the direction carefully and if I feel something strange I will fix it on my way.

At the original design, she used double stands yarn. I did, too. But, I held two different kind of yarn together. it's looks nice. Mine has large gause and I choice second size. It will have 3~4.5" ease on my bust size.

My friend send this yarn last year. I made bell cardigan used yarn (already). Still I have almost 1600 yard.
It looks like milk chocolate with black coffee. Lovely colour! I don't understand why I didn't think about it beore.

Orchid - Living Dead Doll

D'Arcy and I, we went to the comic book store often. He likes Conan and He was a collecter when he was a boy.
We just find out the store 1 month ago and he buy Conon each issue when we go there.

When he was looking for the comic. I found dolls on the show window.
It called living dead dolls and my best friend has huge collection about them.
D'Arcy asked me few times that I want this doll. I said no.
But, this doll remind my friend and I couldn't stop looking at it.

D'Arcy bought if for me. It touched my heart. It's just weird doll to most of people and D'Arcy still don't understand why I like it.

It's a doll. but,not just doll to me. It reminds memories with my best friend. We were so close like a sister.
I found myself that I didn't call to her and didn't write much emails for a long. It's sad.
I feel like getting my friend back when I'm looking at it.

Arching Cables Jacket

I found this design at the Interweave Knits Fall 2010 by mercedes Tarasovich-Clark. Original design has a 2" gap between front peices. My yarn seems weak and I changed a little bit of front. I followed direction only without it carefully.

This is a poject for refesh my feeling these days. I'm getting stress about work and it made me eat so much sweet things. So, I started knit this project friday afternoon and finished last night.

My husband took picture this afternoon for me.

I used Super vision of Serim textile in Korea. My friend send them to me last year and I have totally 3 colours - 10 pack. 4 balls X 10 packs = 40 balls.

I used 5 balls for this Jacket. I'm still have 35 balls.

5mm dpn and Cir
Size made 36" ( no ease)
Super vision ( Fine wool 70%, PN 30%; 100g 135yard) 5 balls
1 1/2 wooden button

Deversion project

I didn't knit much these days. I'm still holding work for publising and it's fun but, it's quite stressful at the same time. I want to get refresh for myself.
So, I started knitting Arching Cables Jacket of Interweave Knits 2010 Fall by Mercedes Tarasovich-Clark. It looks compy and cute. I have right yarn for this poject and my friend send them to me few months ago.

I'm knitting over 8 hours from yesterday evening. Progress is almost 50% now and I think I can finish this cardigan with few days. There are bunch of amazing designs at the Fall issue.

I'm changing little part of this project cause I don't like the little gap of front peices.
Without it, I'm following all directions like a good student.

It's not a taracota, it's not a rosy pink, it's not a brick red.
It's really hard to show the colour on the screen.
But, it's so wormly and soft.

Dounuts!
D'Arcy bought these in the morning and I'm eating them all day.
My body wants sweetness and it will make my brain is work well.

It's happy lazy evening.

New tools, new projects and my mighty cat

Many things are happend to me last 2 weeks.
I've got a chance to publish my design on 2011 Spring issue. I sent submission two months ago and coudn't get answer. I gave up and told to my friend that I will try again for next season. Next day, I've got mail from Editor.
Few days ago, I've got yarn and now progress is almost 70%.

As a non native english speaker, language is such a huge barrior. Sometimes, I found miss spell and error about grammer after I sent submission. My face is turn red lately. With this problems, they slecet my design.

I have huge stash. Most of yarn's from Korea. Some yarn is really nice and I'm still looking for right design fot them.
Some yarn is for mechine knitting. It's super washed hank and I have no idea about weight and yardage.
I ordered few tools at the Etsy and Knitpicks-Yarn winder, Niddy noddy, scales and WPI tools.

I spend whole day to winding balls, checked weight and yardage. It's fun. My cat and husband like them so much too.
One of my stress is gone. I can make plan based on yardage.

I finished Knitting Entralec vests. Yes. I made two vest within 10 days. But, One has too tight armhole and other has too loose armhole. It's really hard to make different sizes. I met nice knitter Abby on the Ravley - she's an amaing designer, too. I asked her about test knitting. She said yes. I'm so impressed and I promissed to her that I will send pattern within early September. But, I coudn't finish pattern yet. She told me that do not hurry and she can understand.
But, it's my charactor. I can't sleep and I'm getting stress about bunch of plans.
When I'm getting stress, good idea's pop up everywhere. I'm so busy for wirte memo about it, too. I have to catch up them before they are gone away.

I changed my mind. At the first time, I just have a paln for Entralec vest. But, now I'm working on Pullover, Cardigan and Vest. Those three garmets are based on Entralec.
I'm not aftriad about numbers. I love math and it's a natural language to me. So, I'm knitting third Entrelac vest, it's quite boring. Stress brought another stress. Actually, I'm enjoing it

Seller's a carpenter in Uta. His store looks empty but, feedbacks are good - 100% positive. I bought cheap one.
Whatever, it works so well.

Fisnihing is one of boring progress for entrelac techqnic. It took almost 1 hour.

I did my best untill midnight. But, armhole is too tight! :(

My cat's getting bigger day by day. He will be a huge cat. He knew and learned 'Give me a hand' and 'Seat!'
He's a cat. But, He's remind my mom's 16 years old dog in Seoul.
His new habbit is open the frige door. When I found the door's open in the morning, I blamed my husband. I knew some of dogs can open the door. But, I never have been imagine that cat do that.
Sometimes, My husband got up at night and drink water. So, I thought that it's my husband's mistake. Even he thought that way and said to me sorry. I was so surprised and coudn't belive my eyes.
He say meaw meaw. It's the only different way with dog.
