I've got bunch of mails from Ravelry. Most of mails are about Charvet. I wonder so many knitters want to knit this sweater and they feel hard to read the pattern. I want to help. But there's a limit because of many reason.

The pattern is totally different form. If the knitter have some experience, it's not that hard.
I saw the diffifuly level Ravelry pattern page. Knitters gave it 2 to 5. I shared my rights with magazine. It means, I can't show everything. But, I really want to help and want to share how to knit this sweater.

First, Here's my favorite Finished project of
Allyson. She didn't use silk blend yarn. But, She understood pattern clearly and made beautiful project.

Second, here's sweater workshop of Knitting Daily. - Swater Workshop: The Charvet Pullover
It's helpful to understand construction.

Thrid, How to fill up the blockes(boxes) of the gird note for charvet?
It takes some time. Maybe it's boring at the first time.
But, if you start fill up the boxes and undertand the rules, you can knit without grid note soon. I'm sure.
So, please try this way together when you read the pattern.

1. fill up a box.

2. a box is a 1 st and 1 ridge( 2row).  it's a CO.
3. fill up a box top of the former box. And each side of new box. - totaly 3 boxes are fill up.
It's a second ridge. each box means each st and each line means each ridge.
4. This is the sleeve. I filled up ridge 1 to ridge 5.
5. You can see the shape of right side and bottom.

6. I filled up ridge 1 to ridge 9 of sleeve.
Added single dec and double dec on left side.
Turn the note 90˚ clock wise, you can see clearly shape of the pattern.

Last, I want to give some comment about joining seam. It's garter base garment. Gauge is important.  For the good result, using right yarn is important, too. But, Allyson made wonderful sweater even if she used non slik blend yarn. For the seaming, maybe some knitters could find garment it growing. it's nothing wrong.
I suggest metress st for the side seam. It's not easy at the first time. But, result is better then others.
Before the joinning seam, put the pins carefully first. It's because each side rigde numbers are different.

As a non native speaker, it's not easy to explain the tips in foreign language. I tried to my best. Wish this post give some help to knitters.
